Odd delay with event dates showing up

I’ve been trying to get my external schedules to display correctly within my custom interface but the refresh rate is driving me crazy. Normally everything should appear instantly once the link is active. Instead I'm seeing a massive lag where new entries take hours to pop up on the site. My connection setup seems fine and the permissions are wide open. I suspect the way the data fetch is handled might be clashing with the server cache. I’ve poked around the settings without much luck so far. Any of you seen this kind of latency when pulling from a Google source?
